Flamenco guitarist, composer and arranger, Baldi Olier is one of the founders of the flamenco culture in Israel. Born in Romania in 1953, he immigrated in Israel in 1964. He began to play guitar during his childhood and at a young age travelled to Spain to follow his love of flamenco. Over the years he has deepened his study of this music and has become a representative of the Spanish culture in Israel. The gypsy spirit with which he grew up in his homeland, together with the influence of Israel's Mediterranean music, have served as inspiration for his compositions. Baldi has created a rich and varied repertoire with his own personal stamp of flamenco, which has been received with much love in Spain as well.
